The end of fundraising?

by Mark Petersen

Here’s a blog from Gayle Roberts which lists 10 trends in the world of fundraising and philanthropy.  I’m particularly interested in #4 and 5 – the leadership deficit, and need for ongoing training.  I’m very glad for #10 with the demise of the tin cup.

I’m with you on #4 and #5. Also, from a “previous life” point of view, I’m fascinated by #7. Very interesting indeed.

Yes, I met up with John Bromley last year and he introduced me to Give Meaning. I love it. I’m going to post on it as a separate item… thanks for mentioning it.

    Mark,

Thanks so much for the shout out. Much appreciated. That little post generated more traffic and links in than anything else I have written about. Just got off the phone with my local business paper because of it. Clearly, a topic for more exploration and discussion. Glad to have you in on the mix.

    Peace,

Gayle – there’s nothing like a great title such as ‘the end of fundraising?’ to pique interest! Glad to have your input, and I will make sure to keep visiting your site. Mark
