A million voices – part 2

An update on how Colombia’s anti-FARC protest marches went today can be found in this NY Times article, and in Spanish in the Semana magazine, here. 

These marches were initiated by the youth of the country only one month ago via Facebook groups and the mobilization power of the internet.  Semana stated:

La manifestación callejera contra las Farc, empezó a gestarse hace exactamente un mes desde la comunidad de Facebook, y se hizo extensiva a varias otras ciudades del mundo, como solidaridad con Colombia y en demanda de la liberación de secuestrados por la guerrilla.
